Cooked - ABC iView
Cooked was my first project straight out of University. I interned with Studio Hackett (now Studio Gilay) for a few months via the Aurora Foundation, and stayed on with the studio afterwards. I was tasked with final character draw ups for ToonBoom rigging, environment assets, 2D animation and rendering of final shots. An extremely fun project!
Back to the Outback - Netflix
Studio Gilay was responsible for the animation sequencing in Maddie's song for Back to the Outback. I was fortunate enough to be able to contribute some fine animation details, and some visual development. A beautiful short animated piece. My first project that landed me with Netflix credits.
Harbour Bridge 90th Anniversary - Ample Projects
I was tasked with designing the opening scene for this project, and visual assets for a portion of the show. I also contributed 2D animation, and some background drawings. My first project with such large projections, and a fun way to push myself out of my comfort zone!
Burra Exhibition - The Australian Museum
Burra is an interactive learning space, where children (and adults!) can go to learn more about culture and caring for country. Throughout the space are screens with short animated sequences, each highlighting a different lesson of importance. I was in charge of the style design, drawing up almost all of the backgrounds. Cutting up audio, lip syncing, some of the animation, and making sure everything flowed well according to script and storyboards that we made. I adored this project.
Songs of Disappearance - The Bowerbird Collective & Mangkaja Arts
I was commissioned as the sole animator for this project, lucky enough to work with The Bowerbird Collective, Mangkaja Arts, and The Australian Museum for the second time. Mervyn Street is the artist responsible for these beautiful paintings, and I feel very grateful that I was put in charge of giving them movement! I also enjoyed this project because it highlights the importance of preservation and the issue of extinction.
